Publisher Nicalis, Inc. is confirmed to be working on the Nintendo Switch platform and will be releasing Binding of Issac: Afterbirth for the system’s North American launch. But joining it (not sure if at launch or later) is 1001 Spikes and Cave Story.
The former saw release on systems like the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita but the later is an iconic indie title for Nintendo gamers. Originally releasing on the PC and coming to the WiiWare platform for it’s first major console release, Cave Story released on many Nintendo storefronts on the 3DS and Wii U. It’s not only great to see Cave Story find home on the Switch as well, but somewhat expected.
Great news for the Switch as it ensures it will get indie game support from Nicalis, Inc.
