Cobanerman is a YouTuber that covers a number of games, including series like Kirby, Mario and Sonic. His latest playthrough covers the impressive and strong Sonic fan project; Sonic Before the Sequel. It is a game I personally really love and it is nice seeing him cover this enjoyable game on his channel. ‘Madmind Studio—a recently established independent development studio from Poland—has announced their debut production that has yet to come to life, a first-person survival horror game entitled Agony. As the title suggests, in Agony, we assume the role of an unknown for the moment protagonist (although we know that he is a historical character) who is trying to escape from the depths of hell. Suffering from amnesia, the hero has to explore the hellish environment and interact with other damned souls. What’s interesting, his unique abilities allow him to control encountered people to some extent and even possess simple-minded demons. It eventually turns out that the only way out of hell requires the protagonist to meet the mythical Red Goddess, apparently a some sort of mistress of hell. We have to avoid confrontation and solve logic puzzles to regain memories and save our soul from damnation.
Agony is set to launch in the first quarter of 2017 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game is being built on Unreal Engine 4 by the above mentioned Madmind Studio, a Polish development studio founded this year. Its employees have previously worked on such titles as Tom Clancy’s The Division, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, Enemy Front, and Real Boxing 2.
