The successful Sony series pushed creativity and expression for all its game releases, having a extensive creative tool set for a number of great creations to be made. This sadly will not continue in Japan, as Sony is closing game servers for every game in the franchise.
The following will no longer available after shutdown:
– Viewing and playing other users created stages
– Uploading created stages
– Online play
– Community functions

With Japan getting shut down, it might be likely US and EU markets will be next, so if you own titles like LBP Vita, LBP 2 and LBP 3, I highly advice downloading a number of the great creative stages from the servers before we hear about a possible shut down in US and EU markets.
