Bandai-Namco Games released information regarding post-launch content heading to the upcoming release of the PS Vita & PS4 title Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. This includes DLC content, as the game will be getting a season pass in both Japan and in North America/Europe.

First up we have information on post-release updates, the first major content addition being “Fighters of the Blue Sky” (title tentative). Due out in 2016, this update will add a new story featuring characters Rain and Seven from Sword Art Online: Lost Song, as well as new maps and tweaks based on user feedback.
In addition to game updates, there’s another way to get more from your game; DLC. Both free and paid downloadable content has been planned for Hollow Realization – with free content including additional quests and missions, and paid content including the “Shrine Maiden of the Abyss” (tentative title) three episode story-line. “Shrine Maiden of the Abyss” is headed to the game next year, by the way.

Part of this wave of DLC content is a new character being introduced into the Sword Art Online games.

Additionally, it’s been revealed that Kizmel from Sword Art Online Progressive will join the party as non-player character. According to the Sword Art Online Wikia, Kizmel is a skilled warrior with an abnormally high level of intelligence; enough to make you wonder if she’s really just an artificial intelligence…
