Discovered by NeoGaf user dracula_x in the PlayStation Network Thread on NeoGaf, the Media Go service, which manages digital content for the PSP platform, is shutting down in the future. As Sony states in the above image; “You will no longer be able to activate/deactivate your PSP using Media Go” & “You will no longer be able to download and install purchased PSP and PlayStation Video Content via Media Go”.
This saddning news for PSP owners, as Media Go was a simple way to manage large digital libraries for the platform. It should be noted that you can STILL download games off the PlayStation Network Store for your PSP and still access the PSN Storefront using the platform. In addition, transferring content from the PS3 too the PS Vita still works as of this writing.
