Nintendo released an official press release on their upcoming console/portable hybrid but in the trailer for the Nintendo Switch, we saw footage of games not officially announced as of yet.
They included a new 3D Mario title that seems to mirror Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy in terms of core control, Mario Kart (Untitled) which seems to be an enhanced edition of the Wii U game Mario Kart 8 (which can be proven by it using an older track from the game and looking similar visually but having a new character racing), and Splatoon (Untitled) which is similar to Mario Kart in that while it looks similar to the Wii U game it has some differences (hair styles and weapons).
An officially announced game shown off prominently is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild which is a port of the Wii U version releasing early 2017 (likely in March).
We will be learning more next year about the Nintendo Switch’s software line up but it is great to see Nintendo have a solid line up of first party software releasing on the console in the future.
