Did You Know Gaming released a video covering Sumo Digital’s Sonic & SEGA All Stars Racing franchise and it covers history around the original All Stars Racing and the sequel Racing Transformed.

In this episode of Did You Know Gaming we take a look at some facts, secrets, and Easter eggs in Sega’s All-Stars Racing games. Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed are kart racing video games in the Sega Superstars series developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sega. The games feature an all-star cast of characters from Sega franchises, including Sonic, Super Monkey Ball, Jet Set Radio and Shenmue, although many more appeared in the games’ beta stages, such as Mario from Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros fanchise. Transformed even had a surprise guest appearence from Simon “Honeydew” Lan of the YouTube channel Yogscast. The games were widely ported, and appeared on the Nintendo Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Vita, Nintendo DS, 3DS, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, as well as mobile devices.

As someone who loves both of these racers, it was really nice seeing Did You Know Gaming highlight some of the trivial surrounding this series of SEGA racing games.
