Mainline Fire Emblem Game In Development for Nintendo Switch – Releasing in 2018

Nintendo recently announced their Nintendo Switch platform and many are wondering outside of the upcoming Fire Emblem Warriors, what future does the franchise have on Nintendo’s latest platform? They don’t have a lot of details to share, they did state during the recent Fire Emblem Direct that the series will see a mainline installment release on the platform in 2018.

Fire Emblem is coming to Nintendo Switch: For the first time since Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Wii console in 2007, a new mainline game in the series is being developed for a Nintendo home system, with the ability to also be played on the go! The new game is scheduled to launch in 2018.

This is exciting news and considering it’s 2018 release date, I’m thinking this is an original installment in the series and not a remaster or port of a past title in the series. We will likely hear more on Fire Emblem Switch closer to the end of 2017 after the release of FE Warriors, so stay tuned for more information.
