Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will carry over much of the content from the Wii U release but also come with new modes and features. One thing people wondered if it will support amiibo costumes and it seems they are coming back! Nintendo PR released a few images that detail the different amiibo costumes and the amiibos that unlock them.

In addition, there is also a teaser to some battle mode types coming to MK8 Deluxe. NeoGaf user Dystify gave the following suggestions on the battle mode types they could be. 

Shine Runners or Shine Thief – Coin Rush – Balloon Battle – Bob-omb Blast – New Piranha Plant mode
