Luigi’s Mansion Arcade – SEGA Bringing Nintendo/Capcom Arcade Title to the West!
Luigi had a few haunting adventures on the GameCube and Nintendo 3DS but many western gamers never checked out his arcade spook before. Capcom developed the title and it was well received by gamers in Japan. SEGA took note of this and is publishing/releasing the arcade unit in North America/Europe in various locations.
Guide clumsy Luigi through huge ghost-infested mansions on an action-packed ghost hunt. Flash your Strobulb at the ghosts to stop them in their tracks and use the Poltergust 5000 to vacuum up the stunned ghosts energy. Once the number above the ghosts head reaches zero, he goes bye-bye!
Armed with the ghost-sucking Poltergust 5000 and other new gadgets, not only will you have to capture ghosts, but also solve puzzles and battle monster sized bosses. Can you and Luigi build up the courage to save the day?
Arcade games are rare in the west currently, so hearing a recent one from Japan is getting localized is exciting news. More interesting is that SEGA is helping to make it happen; another example of the publisher working with Nintendo on projects (one more direct example if SEGA co-developing F-Zero GX with Amusement Visions on the Nintendo GameCube).
