This information came out recently, stating that due to Disney Parks relations with the Avatar (James Cameron) IP,  Avalanche Software were considering Infinity figures for the series. These never escaped the concept design phase, but it is interesting to see IP not owned by Disney be up for consideration in joining 3.0.
