(RUMOR) Final Fantasy XV Pushed Back to November 29th – Update: Confirmed False?
UPDATE: A tweet from MyXboxRadio talked with a number of GameStop locations regarding this rumor and confirmed with 7 of them that this rumor is false. Until we hear confirmation from Square Enix, please take this rumor with a grain of salt. Thank you for understanding.
Original Story:
This is a bit of a surprise to hear honestly, considering Square Enix has been providing a consistent stream of updates regarding Final Fantasy XV. But it appears the game is going to be getting pushed back by two months based on this statement.
It’s been a long wait with multiple setbacks and engine changes along the way, but earlier this year Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XV is launching on September 30th. Unfortunately, it appears that a delay is on the way. A source within GameStop management has tipped us off that Square Enix has delayed the game until November 29th. Promotional materials with the new date have arrived at some GameStop stores with instructions that they are not to be put up until after Sunday, August 14th, so an official announcement could be coming then.
The same source that has revealed this information to Gamnesia has proven reliable on multiple occasions in the past. This includes leaking the release date and trade-in deals for New Nintendo 3DS as well as the release date for Star Wars Battlefront.
Considering how Gamnesia has been right about rumors in the past, this could indicate FFXV being pushed back really happening. We will report on this again once Square Enix releases an official statement.
