The Metroid fan base has produced a few fan projects in the past and today marks the release of one of the bigger projects; Another Metroid 2 Remake. This is a remake in the styling of Metroid: Zero Mission to Metroid 2 but with some extra additions (button to swap to Morph Ball mode, logs for new locations you explore, map system, ect).
From the half hour I played as of this writing, its a really well done remake and highly recommend you pay a visit to the developers blog if you want to learn more about the game.
