Digital Foundry Retro: Daytona USA & Why Frame-Rate Has Always Mattered

Daytona USA is an arcade classic and a key part of SEGA’s history but the game was also part of the many firsts regarding 3D gaming. Being the first to do many things (texture filtering for example) and achieving a locked (mostly) 60FPS was very impressive back during its original 1993 release.
Digital Foundry also looks into the many different versions of this title, ranging from the Model 2 arcade release all the way to the PS3/360 ports of the title.
