Nier Automata got a special demo out in time for the holidays on the PS4 but many wonder if the game will get any enhancements on the PS4 Pro. Digital Foundry has the answer to this and did a comparison between PS4 and PS4 Pro.
The resolution on standard PS4 is 900p while PS4 Pro will run at a native 1080p. The interesting thing is that both versions run at 60FPS, so the most likely situation is that Platinum lowed the base resolution on standard PS4 to achieve a locked 60FPS. With the stronger hardware, they were able to maintain that 60FPS while also running at a higher resolution on PS4 Pro, resulting in 1080p support on that console.
Other noteworthy visual upgrades PS4 Pro users can experience with this Nier demo is motion blur, better texture filtering and more. It appears to be a great looking and running game on both platforms regardless but it is nice Pro users will get some nice extra features with Nier.  Nier Automata is releasing in Early 2017 on the PlayStation 4 and PC.
