It’s no surprise that Ubisoft wants to expand their IP’s through other medias. We already have a Rabbids cartoon which is currently in it’s 3rd season and the the Assassin’s Creed movie which came out last month. What did surprise me however is the fact we’re getting one based off the upcoming Ghost Recon game.
Titled “War within the Cartel” it will be a 30 minute short film which will serve as a prequel to Wildlands focusing on the villains of the game. It will premiere on Ubisoft’s Twitch channel on February 16 then it will be available to watch on amazon free for amazon prime subscribers. One other important thing to note is that the executive producer is Roberto Orci who has written films like Transformers(2007), Star Trek(2009) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2(2014).
