Breath of the Wild is finally out after over four years of development time passing. We were able to review the game recently but seeing it’s original demos/builds indicate a lot has changed for the final release. How much has changed though? Well this is where Beta64 comes into play. They released a lengthy video detailing many differences between the two versions, early builds from E3 2016 and footage from TGA 2014.
What we end up seeing is quite a bit of content got changed. One key point is how the GamePad for the Wii U version became worthless; the original release planed for more usage of the device such as a map you can interact with via touch screen. The final release uses the GamePad’s gyro controls and nothing more outside of remote play however. Other differences detailed include HUD changes, minor graphical changes and more.
I highly recommend giving this video a watch, as you will learn more about one of the most massive games Nintendo has created.

With the Japanese launch of the Switch finished, many are looking through what it offered. Outside of the exciting discovery of a few JP games offering English support, many got the chance to try out DQ Heroes I & II through either buying it or playing a free demo.
You can see the final build of the game in action (via the above video) and the results are a bit mixed. The game seems to be a modified port of the PS3 releases of Dragon Quest Heroes I & II in many cases; higher visual quality but still running at a lower resolution and the frame rate is very problematic. It seems to be a playable version of two fun action/RPGs but the port should have been more optimized.
No word has released regarding whenever this will travel over to western shores but once more information releases, we continue reporting on DQ Heroes I & II for the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo is known for teasing their fans for promised projects and one infamous example is the title Mother 3. Being the third game in the long running JRPG series, it was only released in Japan to critical success! Many loved it but Western Gamers wanted to play it for a long time. Despite a well-produced fan translation being released, many gamers wanted an official English release from Nintendo.
In a new video released by Stop Skeletons From Fighting, we see the history and legacy of Mother 3 unfold.

To celebrate the Nintendo Switch, we’ve made a short video documenting every time Reggie Fils-Aime crushed our hopes of a western release of Mother 3.

The Nintendo Switch is region free, unlike past Nintendo systems. With reports of a few Japanese games fully supporting English Language, it might be worthwhile to consider making an extra account or two for your Switch console. But how do you do that?
Well the above video has the answer! It’s a painless process and after getting everything up and running, you can go on the E-Shop to get whatever you want. It’s great seeing Nintendo finally offer a proper account system for once and seeing support for other storefronts being so simple is a huge improvement over the Wii U.

Animated Review – Star Vs. The Forces of Evil Season One

MotweraEntertainment, ReviewsLeave a Comment

Disney is famous for producing some of the best animated content in film history. Many grew up watching classics like Beauty & The Best and Fantasia. However Disney also has a history in television animation. Starting with live action productions, they later tapped into their animated roots with shows like Adventures of the Gummy Bears and the most famous example being Ducktales. They got so much success, Disney stared producing more animated shows over the years.
Recent efforts have shown a clear high quality benchmark, shown with shows like Gravity FallsThe Mickey Mouse Shorts and Wonder Over Yonder. One show that stands out among all of them is the series Star Vs. The Forces of Evil. On surface level, it shouldn’t be anything more then wacky antics with a princes hero character.

But through subverting expectations and not being afraid to be silly, Season One of The Forces of Evil establishes a foundation that Season Two blossoms from. Even then though, how does the first season hold up? Is it a fun time? Let’s travel across dimensions and find out!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review (Switch, 2017)

Verzu ChaseGaming, Reviews1 Comment

The Nintendo Switch is a brand new Nintendo console releasing tomorrow (March 3rd, 2017) as of this writing and although it’s launch window line-up is a bit shaky (honestly REALLY shaky), there’s been a consensus at Nintendo that they have enough to keep us gamers occupied until the holiday season. But the game Nintendo has focused on most to carry their new systems launch is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Originally a Wii U game, BOTW (this will be the short-hand I use throughout the review) has been delayed numerous times, now it has become an introduction to Nintendo’s new system as well as a swan song for their struggling Wii U platform. The delays have come with promises of the series exploring new boundaries, and providing a highly polished experience.

Fan Project (Mother 4) Getting Re-Branded as Original Title

It has been no secret that fan games are under attack from major publishers and one company that has made it clear they do not want any fan projects under their IP being produced is Nintendo. With AM2R and Pokemon Uranium being prime examples, 2016 showed how the publisher does not want fans working with it’s IP despite other publishers like SEGA being supportive of the community.
One such fan project that has been in development for a long time was Mother 4 but with recent attacks toward fan projects, the development team made the decision to scrap all traces of the Mother franchise from the project. Below is an official statement from the developer.

JP Switch Versions of Disgaea 5 Complete & I Am Setsuna Support English Language

MotweraGamingLeave a Comment

Japan is getting a few games for the Switch launch that are releasing in America (I Am Setsuna) but will see a release in a few months down the line (Disgaea 5 Complete). However, the Switch is region free unlike the Nintendo Wii U or 3DS; you can play both at launch in Japanese with little issue! Some interesting news however is that both support English languages in the JP versions. What does this mean?
It implies you can play Disgaea 5 Complete in English language (not sure if the English dub is in the JP release) or import a physical version of I Am Setsuna from Japan to play on your NA account. This is great news and if you have a spare JP Nintendo Account, you add Disgaea 5 Complete to your launch shopping list.

The picture above describes additional items for the Day One Edition on Steam that include bonus items such as: Machine Mask Accessory, Grimoire Pod, Retro Grey, Cardboard and Red Pod Skins and finally, a preorder bonus that introduces a custom Valve Character Accessory Skin for the main character. PS4 Get’s Limited Time Price Drop to 199,99 Euros (3/2-3/3) to Counter Switch Launch

Sony is ready for the Switch launch, but despite the fact both are aiming for different markets (Nintendo for it’s core gamers and Sony for everyone else), PlayStation is being a bit competitive for the Switch launch. For the next two days in EU countries, the PlayStation 4 is going to cost 199,99 Euro’s. That is much lower then the price point of the Nintendo Switch.

Sony has launched a campaign of lightning reduction of PS4 in front of the launch of Nintendo Switch. It is being confirmed by stores in Italy, Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium. For the moment, nothing in Spain.
The March 3, 2017 is going to be a very hot day in stores and video game chains, because if the launch of Nintendo Switch with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the rest of titles, plus the Horizon: Zero Dawn of yesterday day 1 were not enough, the PlayStation 4 itself could enter into the equation.
Sony has agreed with some stores in Europe to lower the basic PS4 to 199.99 euros during March 3, and only for that day, to counter the output of Switch, according to a source consulted by Gamereactor. We can not confirm, however, which countries would affect this promotion, except in Italy, so we remain expectant to see it in practice.

This is a very interesting move and likely a big reason for this is to give Horizon Zero Dawn a chance at further success, considering both that & Zelda are open world games in addition to the fact many are comparing/contrasting the two titles.
