Samurai Jack – Season 5 Teaser (Adult Swim)
Jack is back! The iconic Cartoon Network series Samurai Jack was confirmed to be revived for another season on the network’s Adult Swim block and most recently release a special teaser clip.
You can watch it above this text and it looks great. Jack is clearly older compared to prior seasons and the art style is fully intact. That makes me very happy; it has been so long since the original series that I thought they would shift art direction completely. Happy the show still ‘looks’ like Samurai Jack honestly.

Yooka-Laylee – Capital Cashino Level Footage (IGN)
With the inbound release of Yooka-Laylee coming in April for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Playtonic games released the above gameplay video to IGN to release. It shows off the games ‘Capital Cashino’ level and it shows a lot of interesting elements of Yooka-Laylee as a whole.
Gameplay looks strong, thanks to the large moveset pool you have access to and when the game pushes platforming it presents solid level design that gets more challenging. But the size of the level is a bit too large, giving it an empty feeling. In addition, the coloring choice for the level is oddly bleak for what normally is a colorful setting in platformers (the casino theme).
I am still excited for Yooka-Laylee’s release and have high hopes for the title personally, so consider watching the above video if you want to learn more about the game.

It was discovered that holiday outfits for characters like Robin were present hidden in the games files. This could indicate that FE Heroes was meant for a Winter 2016 release instead of launching this month in 2017. Very interesting findings and hopefully more event-themed outfits for FE characters are present as the game continues to get support from Nintendo & Intelligent Systems.
The Gaming Historian – K.C. Munchkin: Atari vs. Philips
Gaming Historian discusses the history of K.C. Munchkin, a Pac-Man clone that set off a groundbreaking legal battle. Atari’s court battle against Philips would provide the groundwork for how copyright laws apply to video games.
Video games and copyright are a tricky business, as when the industry started it’s humble origins on consoles back in the 80’s, rules were in place but they were based upon other mediums. Meaning that elements like gameplay mechanics and overall design were not considered when establishing copyright. This sparked a big battle between console makers Atari and Philips back in the day and it resulted in a major history event happening in gaming history.
The Gaming Historian goes back in time to explain the important origins of how copyright laws were applied to the video game medium. I really enjoyed this video and I highly recommend you all give it a watch!
PlayStation Pro – Boost Mode: AC Unity
Assassins Creed Unity had a few issues running on PS4 and Xbox One and since it’s release, the game continues to offer unstable performance. Thanks to the recent release of the PS4 Pro 4.50 Beta a number of games are benefiting from a feature called ‘Boost Mode’ that pushes the PS4 Pro to work with older PS4 games.
The end result is games running better and feeling more responsive to play. AC Unity is an example of this, with frame rate being a stable 30FPS now ensuring responsive controls and no issues like V-Sync & Screen Tearing.
