The Missing Nickelodeon Movie (Cry Baby Lane) – Internet Mysteries
Media gets lost often sadly, through either not being shown often enough or data outright being corrupted to prevent re-releasing it again. Television movies are nothing new and networks like Disney and Nickelodeon have created them for years. But one movie Nick released called Cry Baby Lane was only shown once before never being seen again.
While the television channel Nickelodeon is mainly known for their cartoons such as Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, and Rugrats, they’ve also done their fair share of made for TV movies. One of them that mysteriously went missing was a horror film called Cry Baby Lane.
The YouTube channel TheGamerFromMars dives into the lore and mystery behind this lost Direct-To-TV film. I enjoyed learning about this movie and the end of the video has an answer as to what happened to the film today. Highly recommend you give this a watch if you want to learn a bit about lost media and a spooky film.

ZeniMax (Bethesda) Asks Court to Halt Sales of Oculus Rift VR Headset
There was a major court case between ZeniMax (Bethesda) and Oculus (Facebook) over issues surrounding Oculus VR. Claims of stolen code and other problems lead to the two parties going into the courts to get things worked out. The end result was that ZeniMax one and Oculus (Facebook) having to cough up money to compensate for damages.
Publisher ZeniMax Media has made good on its intention to file an injunction against Oculus to stop the sale of Rift and any associated software that infringes upon ZeniMax’s copyrighted code, according to documents filed in Texas court this week.
Earlier this month, a Dallas, Texas jury awarded $500 million in damages to ZeniMax after finding that Oculus co-founder Palmer Luckey, and by extension Oculus, failed to comply with a non-disclosure agreement. Of that total amount, ZeniMax was awarded $50 million for copyright infringement.
But sadly issues are still present regarding this case, as ZeniMax is asking the courts to halt the sales of Oculus VR Units.
“The jury’s damage award here, however substantial, is an insufficient incentive for Defendants to cease infringing,” ZeniMax said in court documents. “Just minutes after the jury revealed its verdict, Facebook’s COO, Sheryl Sandberg, publicly stated that the jury’s verdict of a half billion dollars was ‘not material to [Facebook’s] financials.’”
ZeniMax’s injunction intends to block the sale and distribution of any Oculus products that use its copyrighted code. That includes, but is not limited to, system software for Oculus PC and mobile products, as well as Oculus integration with the Unreal Engine and Unity Game Engine. The injunction could impact not only Oculus and the sale of Rift hardware, but developers working on software for the virtual reality platform.
It’s a shame to see this issue still popping up and if Oculus doesn’t comply with these demands if the court pushes for them, it would have major implications on VR game development. While the PS VR and Vive will continue to get success in the VR landscape, Oculus Developers could lose jobs and more if issues with the company continue to pop up. Shenmue HD Remaster – (RUMOR) Release on Consoles/PC Planed for 2017
We reported on the possibility of Shenmue getting a HD Remastered collection in the past, as the SEGA registered domains for Shenmue HD recently. But further support is coming out with Rice Digital, as they stated the following.
A trusted source close to Atlus USA, today revealed to me that Shenmue HD Remaster will be released this year. Both games, Episodes 1 & 2, may be released together rather than separately. They are presumably being geared up for launch to precede Shenmue 3, which could possibly slip into 2018.
This would make sense, considering how we got the domains registered not long ago. If this is indeed happening, SEGA/Atlus would start work getting it ready for this year. I think it would be great personally to see Shenmue get a HD Collection; many have not played the series and I could see this being a great way to re-introduce the series for modern audiences.
The Rice Digital report states that both games will be releasing together and they main reasoning for it’s release is to hype up the launch of Shenmue III (which is being pushed into 2018 according to this report. But like all rumors, know the the following; This news surrounding Shenmue HD Remastered is NOT an official announcement from SEGA or Atlus. While this can be true, please don’t take it as fact until SEGA/Atlus give an clear statement on the matter.

Animated Review: Danny Phantom Season One
The name Butch Hartman might ring a few bells if you watched Nick over the years. From making a show about a young lad who has magical fairies that grant him wishes too letting the viewer explore a secret agent/spy show made up of talking animals, he has taken us on some really funny adventures. But what about when it’s time to get a bit more serious or have more action elements? The Fairly Odd Parents had moments where things get serious or action heavy but that wasn’t the main focus of the show.
A show having such a focus is unique, specifically for Nick which didn’t really have much action/superhero shows in the early 2000’s. Danny Phantom is Butch’s second television show on Nick and it lasted for three seasons. It follows the teenage boy of Danny who has the special ability to turn himself into a ghostly being. He uses this power to defend his home town from various spirits that cause havoc.
When it originally aired, it was a breath of fresh air for the network and really filled a hole that felt missing from it’s line-up of shows. But does the Phantom hold up in recent years? Or does it evaporate into a specter into the night? Lets grab our Fenton Thermos and try to catch some ghosts as we tackle the first season of this haunting show.

Interview with Yacht Club Games: Learning about the Shovel Behind the Knight
Making a game is difficult as it takes time and talent to make a quality piece of software. Many studios have accomplished this over the years but one should be noted. Yacht Club Games went from a band new studio making a Kickstarter project to into one of the many faces making up indie game development this current generation. With the heroic knight embarking on various adventures across many platforms, having a cameo or two and getting new content to dig into this year…..I felt it was a good idea to discuss with the shovels behind the knight.
Sean Velasco of Yacht Club Games was kind enough to answer a few questions I had about the studio, Shovel Knight and other interesting topics. It was a great honor to speak with him and you can find out more about Yacht Club Games by visiting their official website.
Below is the full interview I had with Velasco and I hope you all enjoy! It was a lot of fun speaking with him and we at 3WIREL will continue covering everything Shovel Knight as further information comes out.

Gaming Historian – Panasonic Q
When the Nintendo GameCube originally released, many has issue with the fact it couldn’t play DVD/CD’s. The PlayStation 2 supported both and the Xbox even had a hard-drive; both offered more media features compared to the base GameCube. Nintendo had a plan to counter this though, and that was the Panasonic Q.
Gaming Historian reviews the Panasonic Q system. During the sixth generation of consoles, Nintendo’s GameCube was criticized for it’s lack of DVD playback. But in Japan, Panasonic had a solution: A DVD player that can play GameCube games! But was it worth the hefty price tag?
Learn about the history and functionality of this largely unknown piece of the GameCube’s history by watching the Gaming Historian’s video above! I enjoyed learning more about this console and it’s design is quite slick.

Nintendo Switch – Unboxing & Initial Impressions (Digital Foundry)
Digital Foundry was able to get hands-on with a Nintendo Switch Unit and did an upboxing of the console. It was quite enjoyable to watch, as we see some of the interface and the DF Team’s thought’s of the Switch console itself. It looks far more faster compared to the Wii U and the Joy Cons offer potential for great gameplay with how versatile they are.
