Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch Console Bundle Incoming (LEAK)

RK128GamingLeave a Comment

The Nintendo Switch is doing well for Nintendo, with Zelda and other launch games selling quite well. But with the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, many wondered if the platform holder would bundle the game with their latest console. Now, it seems they will do just that.

The first official Switch bundle has been outed by Nintendo’s own official store in Russia.
Consumers will be able to choose between two options: one with gray Joy-Con and another with the neon colors (note that these pages may be inaccessible unless you’re located in Russia or use a proxy). Both come with a physical copy as opposed to a pre-installed version.
Nintendo may be announcing this Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle during its Nintendo Direct tonight. It’s unclear if North America will be receiving the package at this time.

Reported originally by Nintendo Everything, this is the first official Switch console release that will be bundled with a game. With a major Nintendo Direct happening tonight, this could be one of it’s many announcements. We will report more as further information comes out.

Sonic Boom (Sonic Synergy) Prototype Trailer Leaks

RK128GamingLeave a Comment

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric was a game many were confused by when it was first announced in early 2014. A Sonic adventure that focused less on the series trademark speed but pushing for combat with exploration elements. Called originally ‘Sonic Synergy’, the title was going to be releasing on the next-generation hardware before being pushed onto the Nintendo Wii U due to the SEGA/Nintendo Exclusivity deal.
But remember that trailer we all saw when the game was first announced and how it ran on high-end PC’s? Well, now we finally have a glimpse at what could have been. Today a trailer got leaked from a prototype build of the game, showing off polished version of the game in action. Combat and usage of the Enerbeam seemed to be far more dynamic, visuals looked like a big step up from the final game and overall it just looks more fun then the game we finally got.
I detailed a lot about the Boom Sub-Series in a lengthy article last year, but it’s a shame the final game of Rise of Lyric left people wanting more. It had potential and it could have been a new take on Sonic that complemented the games Sonic Team created. Sonic has a bright future ahead with projects like Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces though, so the Blue Blur is going to be quite busy in 2017.

Star Wars: Battlefront II (EA) – Promotional Ad Leaked

Star Wars Battlefront II is a game many likely expected to happen…and no, this ISN’T the Battlefront II from the PS2 and Xbox era. This Battlefront II is the sequel to 2015’s take on the franchise by EA and DICE. Many enjoyed the title but felt it was lacking in meaning full single player content. When the sequel got announced many were happy to hear that it will in-fact have a single player campaign. We just didn’t know what it would cover in the Star Wars mythos.
Thankfully, we get a clear idea now; it will take place during the timeline of the original Star Wars films (after Return of the Jedi) and you can see some of this in action through the above clip. It was leaked and will likely be taken down soon, but while it’s up, you can see in-engine footage of the game in action. We will report more as further information releases.

It’s been a while since we’ve had one was back in January which focused on all the Fire Emblem stuff. Like the tweet above said this one is focusing on 3DS and Switch games with focus mainly on Splatoon 2 and ARMS, two games I’m really looking forward to. Are you looking to the direct and what are you hoping that they’ll show off?

Platformers come in all shapes and sizes, but the genre is always open to new spins. From turning a pink puff ball into an literal ball too having your character controlled through gusts of wind; the genre plays around with a lot of elements. Pinball and Platformers aren’t distant strangers, with many franchises like Sonic or Mario toying with the genre using platforming elements.
Developer Villa Gorilla is playing with pinball and platforming through the upcoming title Yoku’s Island Express. I am honored to have artist Mattias Snygg with me today to answer a few questions I had about the game. Hope you enjoy the interview!

(RUMOR) Sonic Runners Adventure (SEGA/Gameloft) – Next Mobile Game?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tw7Xc5aipG8&feature=push-u&attr_tag=4Vc6H8gWbSmbvfke-6
Sonic has jumped, dash and ran across mobile phones for years now. With his dashing adventure being quite successful and his running jog having some trips, the blue blur has had quite the success on mobile. So it’s no surprise that another one might be coming out in the future. Reported by BlueParadox, it was discovered that a Russian Sonic News account on Twitter ‘leaked’ Sonic Runners: Adventure.
Nothing else is known outside of it clearly being a sequel/successor to ‘Sonic Runners’ and it being co-developed between Gameloft & SEGA. They worked together in the past, so it’s not surprising that a talented mobile studio is working with SEGA on a mobile Sonic project. This a rumor, so it could easily be false. Do not treat this as an official announcement please.
